The seaside resort with something for everyone

Blokhus with nature and culture in abundance

On the west coast, about 20 kilometres south of Løkken, you'll find Blokhus, which is packed with attractions, experiences and beautiful nature with plenty of opportunities to explore North Jutland.

On the way down to Blokhus Strand you'll find Blokhus Rescue Station with the iconic green gates with crossing Dannebrog flags. Blokhus Rescue Station was reopened in 2021 after the German occupying forces removed the rescue station in 1944. Learn more about the history of the lifeboat station at Blokhus Lifeboat Station.

Blokhus is full of beautiful nature, with the dune plantations and the North Sea taking centre stage. Blokhus Gateway is also a popular excursion destination where there is room for picnics, exercise and play. There are picnic areas, nature playgrounds, a fitness trail, nature baking oven and cycling routes.

Blokhus Gateway is connected to Path 100, a 47 kilometre hiking and partial cycling route between Blokhus and Løkken. Located close to Blokhus, there are several dune plantations, with opportunities for hiking and just enjoying the fantastic surroundings.
