Historic seaside hotel with deep roots

Hjorths Badehotel has a rich history. The hotel was founded in 1890 and was run by the Hjorth family until 1982. In 2018, it was taken over by Mikael Valentin, former owner of Restaurant RUSK in Aalborg. His vision is to take the hotel back to its roots with a focus on good craftsmanship, local produce and classic Danish dishes - such as legless birds, French toast and peasant girl with veil.

Inspiration for the TV series "Badehotellet"

The atmosphere at Hjorths Badehotel has inspired many - including the writers behind the TV 2 series The seaside hotel. The series was written in a holiday home opposite the hotel, where the authentic atmosphere and history of the area brought the story to life.
