Get close to the salmon farming of the future
How do you farm salmon on land – using water pumped straight from the Skagerrak?
At Skagen Salmon you get an exciting insight into high-tech and gentle salmon farming, where advanced systems clean and recycle the water, and where both the salmon and the environment are taken into consideration.
Come along on a guided tour and discover how modern technology and responsible solutions go hand in hand – from the tiny salmon eggs to the fully grown salmon.
The tour ends with a tasting session.

Skagen Winter Swimming Festival

Then four wonderful winter days await with sea, sauna, sauna house, wilderness nature and community – and an entire Skagen weekend dedicated to the experience.
It is this weekend, from January 28 to January 31, 2027, that you can enjoy a dip in the most delightful cold water and, above all, the company of many other winter swimmers.

Take your best friend on holiday in Vendsyssel
For many dog owners, a holiday isn't really a holiday without their four-legged friend. Luckily, Skagen is the perfect place to go with your dog - there's plenty of room for long walks, fun on the beach and cosy moments together.
Head to the beach at Grenen, to Råbjerg Mile or perhaps to the unique landscape of Tilsandede Church - the possibilities are endless when you and your dog need a walk.
In Skagen you will also find two dog forests. One at Byfogedskoven and the other in a fenced area at Skagen Klitplantage. Here dogs can run free - and who knows, maybe they'll meet a holiday friend who's out on the same errand as them.
