Turistforeningen Toppen af Danmark - 120 years of commitment, experiences and community
The Tourist Association Toppen af Danmark is a strong local community with roots dating back to the early 1900s. Next year we will celebrate 120 years as an association, and throughout the years we have had one clear purpose: to strengthen, develop and market Skagen and the rest of Toppen af Danmark as an attractive place to visit - all year round.
Our purpose
The organisation is actively working to:
Promote tourism and create a better environment for both visitors and businesses,
Support events and initiatives that bring life and activity to the area,
Market Skagen, Frederikshavn, Sæby and the rest of Toppen af Danmark as a unified, vibrant destination,
Create value for our members through networking, visibility and collaboration.
Profits from our activities go directly back into marketing the area for the benefit of members, citizens and visitors alike.

Our history
For more than a century, the Tourist Association has been a key driving force in the development of Skagen as a tourist destination. From the first organised initiatives to attract visitors to the town's special lights and artists - to today's major events that gather thousands of visitors every year.
We've always had our heart in the community and our eyes on the future.
Activities and events
Today, the tourism association is active with a number of well-known and loved events:
The Skagen Marathon, which attracts runners from all over Denmark and abroad every year.
Skagen VinterbaderFestival, where cold chills and warm fellowship meet in a unique setting by the sea and beach.
Sankt Hans on Sønderstrand, a traditional celebration that for decades has gathered locals and visitors alike around the bonfire and the beautiful sunset.
These events not only bring the town to life, they are an important part of the brand that makes Skagen and Toppen af Danmark known far beyond the borders of Denmark.
