The Skagen Merchants' Association is the local business and trade association that brings together shops, specialty stores, and traders in Skagen with the overall goal of strengthening the town's retail life, promoting community among its members, and creating attractive shopping environments. The association represents the interests of the shops – in terms of the town's environment, opening hours, and cooperation – and organises a number of events and campaigns throughout the year that bring life to the town centre.

What are we doing?

• We organise events to attract both locals and visitors – for example, a summer “Open By Night” with extended shop opening hours, music, activities, and atmosphere in the town's streets. 

• We coordinate opening hours, promotions and member benefits so that shopping in Skagen becomes visible and attractive. The association's recommended opening hours are published as a guide for members. 

• We champion the cause of shops and town life with the municipality and other partners – e.g. regarding cleanliness, urban development and lighting. With increasing membership, the association's influence is strengthened.

As a member of the Skagen Business Association, you become part of the town's commercial network – you gain access to campaigns, joint marketing, collaborations, and sparring with colleagues in the local area.
