If you love engines, you've come to the right place
At Maskinrummet you can experience an impressive collection of historical objects that have been used over time in, among other things, fishing. In the exhibition you can see old dinghies, old engines and fishing effects, which can give you an insight into what fishing life has looked like over the decades.
Maskinrummet opened for the first time in May 2021, and the many enthusiasts behind the museum have themselves taken part in test driving and setting up the old engines, which have all undergone extensive renovation before they became exhibition effects.
There are new, beautiful and curious things being added all the time, and now you can also enjoy the sight of up to 40 old motorcycles and mopeds, which have been lovingly polished as much as the ravages of time allow.
Every day up to 25 engines are started, and for enthusiasts of all ages there is nothing better than hearing the sound of old engines in use. For some it evokes memories of the sound that has been the constant companion of sailors, and for others it may be a dream to travel out on the big blue expanses that are being awakened.
Look forward to an exciting experience when you visit Maskinrummet.
